Terms of Use
Last updated:
These terms apply to the Dashfie app for iPhone and CarPlay. We tried to keep them short and readable.
1. Who we are
Dashfie is provided by Natalia Tomala, Warsaw, Poland (“we”, “us”). Contact: support@dashfie.com. By downloading or using Dashfie you agree to these terms and to Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Apple EULA”). If something here conflicts with the Apple EULA, these terms apply to the extent the law allows.
2. What Dashfie does
Dashfie lets you create widgets with a photo of your car for the CarPlay dashboard and the iPhone Home Screen, and play custom sounds when your iPhone connects to CarPlay. Dashfie requires an iPhone with iOS 26 or later and, for CarPlay features, a car or head unit that supports Apple CarPlay. How widgets look and behave in CarPlay depends on Apple and on your car.
3. Free version and Dashfie Pro
- The free version lets you create 1 widget, with no time limit.
- Dashfie Pro is an auto-renewable yearly subscription (for example $6.99 or 29,99 zł per year; the price shown in the App Store for your country applies and includes taxes).
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase, or at the end of the free trial if you started one.
- The subscription renews automatically every year unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in your iPhone Settings: tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Dashfie. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Free trial
New subscribers may get a 3-day free trial. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it turns into a paid yearly subscription. Each Apple ID can use the trial once. Any unused part of a free trial is lost when you buy a subscription.
Refunds
All payments are processed by Apple, so we cannot issue refunds ourselves. You can request a refund from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
4. License
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Dashfie on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the Apple EULA. You may not copy, resell, reverse engineer or redistribute the app, except where the law expressly allows it. The app, its design, styles and sounds remain ours or our licensors’.
The photos you use stay yours. They are processed only on your device and we do not get any rights to them.
5. Acceptable use and safe driving
- Use only photos you have the right to use. Do not create content that is illegal, offensive or infringes others’ rights.
- Set up widgets and sounds while parked. Do not interact with the app in a way that distracts you while driving. Always follow traffic laws.
- Dashfie countdowns (insurance, inspection) are reminders only. You remain responsible for your real deadlines and documents.
6. Trademarks and no affiliation
Dashfie is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by Apple Inc. Apple, iPhone, CarPlay and App Store are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. Car brands, model names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners and are not affiliated with Dashfie.
7. Availability and changes
We work to keep Dashfie running well, but features may change, and CarPlay or iOS updates may affect how widgets work. We may update the app and these terms. If we change the terms in a significant way, we will let you know in the app or on this page before the changes take effect.
8. Liability
Dashfie is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost data or problems caused by your device, your car, iOS or CarPlay. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for Dashfie in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by contract.
9. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Polish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts competent under consumer law. Before going to court, please write to us; most issues can be solved by email.
